The Marine Range
Genie’s Marine range is a series of cameras that are available in either a bullet or dome style with a fixed 3.6mm or varifocal 2.8-12mm lens. These cameras are made from 316 grade stainless steel, however what does this mean and why would you choose them?
There are 3 main types of stainless steel: Austenitic, Ferritic and Martensitic. Each one has varying factors that make them suitable for different applications in different environments. The Genie Stainless Steel range of cameras are made of austenitic type of stainless steel with a 316-grade alloy. This is a very common and frequently used type of stainless steel as it tends to have a high resistance to corrosion and rust as well as being non-magnetic.
